ALITECS: From the Beginning to the Present
ALITECS was established to be a driving force in revitalizing Japanese semiconductor industry, which was going through prolonged downturns.
Our company specializes in the conceptual design of semiconductor wafer electron beam inspection (EBI) systems, bright field inspection (BFI) systems, and simplified optical proximity correction (OPC) technology.
As part of the simplified OPC development, we created an optical model based on the world’s most advanced model.
We applied this model to die-to-database (D-DB) inspection (computational inspection) systems and formed a small team of professionals to conduct basic research and sell our products to a limited number of customers.
As we continued to expand our business, a semiconductor company, listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market, decided to adopt ALITECS Computational Inspection System (ACIS) to enter the semiconductor manufacturing equipment market.
Meanwhile, there was an emerging need for new suppliers of mask defect inspection systems that respond to the growing replacement demand as the legacy inspection systems are coming to the end of product life.
This drove us to develop a new mask defect inspection system with the semiconductor company implementing hardware development and integration into the mask inspection system, and ALITECS developing the most advanced mask inspection technology ACIS.
Our attempt to introduce cutting-edge computational inspection systems into the legacy field was successful, building the foundation of ALITECS' business model as a provider of computational inspection systems.
Currently, ALITECS has set its next goal as "growing into a competitive business enterprise at the forefront of the world" and intends to expand into the field of cutting-edge inspection systems, in addition to the legacy field.
